Wisconsin quarterback Colton Joseph threw 10 interceptions in 12 games last season while playing for the Old Dominion Monarchs in the Sun Belt Conference.

Five of those interceptions were against the reigning national champion Indiana Hoosiers and James Madison Dukes, who both played in the 2025-26 College Football Playoffs. 

Not only is Joseph playing in a new system, but so is Wisconsin's receiving corps. In fact, the Badgers lost their first- through fourth-leading receivers from last year's team. 

Notre Dame QB pick: C.J. Carr Under 1.5 passing touchdowns

Notre Dame QB C.J. Carr is one of the Heisman favorites, and rightfully so. He is surrounded by future NFL players and plays quarterback for one of the most popular schools in the country. 

That said, I'm banking on head coach Marcus Freeman having a run-heavy game plan. Inside the red zone, the Fighting Irish will most likely lean on their rushing attack since they boast one of the best offensive lines in college football. 

Furthermore, Notre Dame is a -20.5 favorite, which means the market expects it to crush Wisconsin. If that's the case, the Fighting Irish will be less incentivized to have Carr drop back to pass.
