The Ole Miss Rebels soared to No. 4 in the AP Top 25 Poll after beating former coach Lane Kiffin’s LSU Tigers 32-24 in Oxford over the weekend. Rebels fans created a raucous atmosphere at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for Kiffin’s return after leaving last year under a cloud.
As it turns out, one report quantified exactly how much fun Ole Miss fans had watching Lane Kiffin stoop his shoulders in defeat.

OTC’s Brad Logan reported that Ole Miss raked in over $900,000 from liquor sales alone in that showdown against LSU.
A college football sports account then revealed that the Tennessee Volunteers also raked in a pretty huge sum when Kiffin returned to Knoxville in 2021.
“For those wondering, Tennessee did $548k in revenue from alcohol when Lane Kiffin returned to Knoxville in 2021. Ole Miss remains undefeated at partying,” the report stated.
That report swiftly hit social media, and fans wasted little time taking notice.
One fan was simply stunned by the cash the Rebels raked in. “I know stadium beer isn’t cheap but WOWZA, that’s a lot,” the fan exclaimed.
Another slammed the SEC for missing an opportunity in the past because of stadium bans on alcohol sales.

“Look at what the SEC missed out on all those years they refused to sell booze on campus. WILD,” the fan remarked.
One person was completely blown away by the scale of the alcohol consumption at the game. “That’s insane,” the fan posted.
Another fan used a famous slogan to describe the situation. “It just means more…” the fan mused.

Then there was one joke about the Ole Miss students’ drinking capacity. “$900K in booze?! Ole Miss came for an education, and got a masterclass in drinking,” the fan remarked.
A record 70,033 fans attended the game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and the Oxford Police Department and Ole Miss Police Department reported that arrests, tickets, and traffic accidents increased significantly in Week 3.

Kiffin’s return to Oxford prompted the authorities to increase the security presence in the area.
According to PFN’s CFB Playoff Meter, after the win against the Tigers, the Rebels now have a 45.4% chance of reaching the SEC championship game and an 87.6% chance of clinching a berth in the 12-team playoff field, giving Ole Miss fans even more reason to continue celebrating.
