2027 Oak Ridge tight end announces Tennessee football visit

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. Four-star tight end Malik Howard will officially visit Tennessee on June 5-7, he announced on social media.
The 6-foot-3, 231-pound prospect is an in-state target from Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 8 tight end in the class and No. 8 player in Tennessee.
Tennessee offered Howard a scholarship on June 5, 2024. He has unofficially visited the Vols seven times, most recently for a spring practice on March 21.
Kentucky was the first school to offer Howard a scholarship on May 23, 2024.
Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Indiana, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Alabama, South Carolina, Duke, Maryland, Purdue, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Florida, Syracuse, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Arkansas, Colorado, Notre Dame, Auburn, LSU, Northwestern, West Virginia and Oregon.
Tennessee has six commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman.
