The Wisconsin Badgers have been making waves on the recruiting trail in both the 2027 and 2028 classes, and they’ll be hosting one of the best prospects in the country next weekend for their Week 2 game against Western Illinois at Camp Randall Stadium.
The No. 2 recruit in the country according to Rivals, George has been one of the most sought-after recruits in the country with nearly three dozen reported scholarship offers.
Earlier this offseason, he had released a top six of Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Washington. But that hasn’t stopped the Badgers from recruiting the five-star.
George hails from Desert Edge High School in Arizona, which is the same school that 2027 commits Nathan Jones and Yahzeen Zion play for. The Badgers landed both recruits this offseason.
According to Rivals’s Brandon Huffman, George also has visits to Washington (September 5th) and Auburn (September 19th) set up for the month, with a visit to Ohio State also in the works.
George is expected to trim his list of schools even more this Fall, according to Huffman, before an expected decision date in January at the All-American Bowl. We’ll see if the Badgers can make any movement with their upcoming visit for George, but it’s an impressive sign that they’ve been able to maintain a relationship with one of the best recruits in the country.
