Miami Hurricanes Target Four-Star IOL Jatori Williams, Former Alabama Commit

The Miami Hurricanes continue to build for the future by targeting players in the 2027 recruiting class. So far, Mario Cristobal and his staff have landed 11 commitments, ranking first in the ACC and fifth in the nation, per Rivals.

They’re looking to secure a top-10 class for the fourth time since 2023. The group’s splashiest additions include five-star cornerback Donte Wright, five-star wide receiver Nick Lennear and four-star quarterback Israel Abrams.

However, with summer approaching, the Hurricanes are looking to add more depth to the cycle. Interior offensive line has already been a point of emphasis, landing four-star Sean Tatum and three-star Tyler Ford.

Miami may be making another addition soon, as Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons both logged predictions on Thursday for the Hurricanes to receive a commitment from Jatori Williams.

Originally pledged to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the pass protector backed out and reopened his recruitment on Dec. 1. He is a four-star recruit, the No. 9 interior offensive lineman and the No. 105 player in the nation, according to Rivals Industry Rankings.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Williams has garnered interest from some of college football‘s top teams. Set to announce his commitment on May 22, the Hurricanes, Crimson Tide, Florida State Seminoles, Kentucky Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs are his five finalists.

Cristobal has established the Hurricanes as one of the top recruiting programs since taking over as head coach in 2022. Now in the middle of a high-powered battle, Miami is once again looking to come out on top.

Even if Williams commits elsewhere, he is set to take an official visit with the Hurricanes on June 5. That would give them a chance to work on flipping the pass protector.
