BYU was ranked #15 for the Arizona game, and moved up to #11 in the latest AP Poll released Sunday. BYU is one four Big 12 teams ranked along with Texas Tech (13), Utah (17), and Houston (22). Notre Dame remained at #3.
BYU passed Oregon and Oklahoma after their losses, and also passed USC and Texas Tech even though those two teams won their games. Texas Tech narrowly won at Oregon State.
Arizona was just outside the top 25 coming into the game, and BYU’s double-digit win over the Wildcats was one of the better wins for any team in week 2. BYU now heads the road for the first time this season Saturday when they travel to Fort Collins to take on Colorado State. The Rams aren’t expected to be among the top teams in the Pac-12 (yes, they are in the Pac-12 now), but are 2-0 after blowout wins over Wyoming and SUU.
