Landry, who is still a senior at Ole Miss, became the target of vulgar banners placed outside off-campus student housing in Oxford. The banners attempted to connect her to a former Ole Miss player as part of an effort to troll her father ahead of the highly anticipated matchup between No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss.
The incident quickly drew criticism from college football fans who felt the trolling had crossed a line.
Fans Slam Attacks on Landry Kiffin
The controversy did not stop with the banners. During a student interview ahead of the game, one student was asked to predict the final score. The student responded, “If it was up to Landry, it would probably be 69-0. But realistically, it’s probably going to be like 35-20 Ole Miss.”
The comment drew more criticism because it brought Landry into a rivalry that involves her father.

Her response shifted the conversation away from the LSU-Ole Miss rivalry and toward the treatment of someone who is not involved in the game itself.
