Big 12 football standings, results after Week 1 of 2026 season

The college football season is officially underway, and every Big 12 team has played in their season opener. All but three Big 12 teams were victorious in their first game of the season, with 10 of those wins being by at least two possessions. UCF scored the most points out of any Big 12 team in the opener with 73 points against Bethune.

Among the three Big 12 losses was Oklahoma State's loss to Tulsa, making it the only Big 12 team to lose its opener to a non-Power Four team. Meanwhile, Colorado arguably had the game of the week with a comeback victory over Georgia Tech, and Baylor lost to Auburn on a failed two-point conversion, while ranked Houston survived a scare from Oregon State.

Here is how the Big 12 standings look after the first week of the season.
