The Clemson Tigers have an opportunity to bounce back in Week 2 against the Georgia Southern Eagles after an ugly 51-10 loss to the No. 8 LSU Tigers. It’s a moment for Dabo Swinney to quiet the critics, as the outside noise has grown louder than ever before. While that may be the case, Kirk Herbstreit admitted he’s ready to hit the panic button for Swinney and the Tigers.

On the set of “College GameDay,” Herbstreit claimed that if he were to rank his level of concern for Swinney on a scale of one to 10, he’d say it’s a nine. The popular college football analyst went over Clemson’s schedule and admitted that he essentially does not see how the Tigers end the campaign with a winning record, especially with how poorly the offense played in Week 1.

“Clemson’s level of concern. On a scale of one to 10, I think it’s a nine,” Herbstreit said. “It’s their schedule. Georgia Southern today. Bill Belichick coming up at home. At Cal, which will not be easy. And Miami at Florida. Now, again, going back to what Coach [Nick Saban] just said, let’s not overreact.

“Which, I think that’s been one of the biggest overreactions is Clemson’s done,” Herbstreit continued. “[The LSU loss] was the worst loss in Dabo’s era as a head coach. Coming off a 7-6 year. They can’t run the ball. The offense doesn’t have any identity at all. So, forgetting overreacting to it. I’m concerned about the schedule, and they gotta find an offense.
