Deion Sanders is keeping his eyes on the ball despite his Colorado Buffaloes squad cruising to a 52-21 blowout win over the Weber State Bobcats on Saturday night.
Sanders is going through the fourth season of his head coaching career with the Buffaloes. He looks to get the program to their second bowl game appearance throughout his stint, trying to build more success following an underwhelming campaign in 2025.
Colorado is off a to solid start, pulling off a 14-13 road upset over Georgia Tech in Week 1. They went on to torch Weber State this weekend, improving to a 2-0 record this season. Sanders reflected on the win after the game, believing that his squad could’ve had more scoring opportunities throughout the course of the game.

“We only scored 52… Should’ve been a lot more,” Sanders said.

How Deion Sanders, Colorado performed against Weber State
It’s clear that Deion Sanders doesn’t want Colorado to let its foot off the gas. Nonetheless, they boasted a convincing win over Weber State, showing off explosive moments on offense in Week 2.
Colorado did most of its damage throughout the first half, torching Weber State 42-14 at halftime. They went on cruise control in the last 30 minutes of regulation, only adding 11 more points while fending off any rallying efforts from the Bobcats.
Julian Lewis had an effortless performance as he lit up the stat sheet with his throwing. He completed 17 out of 23 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns.
Micah Welch was active in the run game, racking up 11 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown. Joseph Williams caught four passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns, DeAndre Moore made four receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown, while Ernest Campbell caught a 48-yard touchdown pass.
The Buffaloes will look forward to their next matchup, remaining on the road. They take on the Northwestern Wildcats in Week 3 as kickoff commences on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
