Things are looking good in Gainesville after Florida football beat the Campbell Fighting Camels in the Swamp during Week 2, 52-3.

While the final score looks impressive on the surface, a blowout victory over an FCS opponent only goes so far when it comes to establishing credibility on the field. For some, the 49-point win was not convincing enough — especially after a second half that saw the Gators score just once and nearly allow the Camels to get into the end zone.

After the dust settled on the weekend's action, CBS Sports writer Chip Patterson published his latest college football re-rank, with Florida dropping two spots from last week's rankings to No. 22. That puts the Orange and Blue between No. 21 Iowa and No. 23 Louisville.

Florida also slipped in the US LBM Coaches Poll, dropping out of the top 25 to the de facto No. 26 spot with 183 votes. In the AP Top 25, the Gators held onto their de facto No. 27 ranking with 87 votes.

Looking at some of the other rankings, Jon Sumrall and Co. sit at No. 26 in USA TODAY Sports' re-rank — a five-spot improvement — while The Athletic's re-rank has them at No. 31, down one spot from last week. ESPN's power rankings agree with Patterson on the Gators, also placing them at No. 22 for a two-spot improvement.

Florida opens its SEC schedule on Saturday against Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
