Florida football is making a strong push for Oklahoma commit Tra’Von Hall as the Gators prepare to host the three-star wide receiver for an official visit in Gainesville this week.
Hall pledged to the Sooners in November of last year but has reopened his recruitment since, allowing Florida an opportunity to sway the 6-foot, 180-pound Tuscaloosa, Alabama, native. Though 10 games at Central High School, Hall collected 25 receptions for 355 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 41 carries, 519 yards and nine touchdowns rushing.
Defensive backs coach Will Harris remains heavily involved in Hall’s recruitment as the Gators now prioritize depth in the secondary after making waves with a host of blue-chip signings across the offensive line and skill positions. Florida is routinely engaging SEC powers for prospects across the south and into the mid-Atlantic and southwest regions.
The start of official visit season marks a crucial stretch for Sumrall and the Gators, who have been aggressive on the recruiting trail thus far, yielding results that have lifted the program as high as No. 4 on ESPN’s national recruiting rankings.
Tra’Von Hall’s recruiting summary
Hall is slated at No. 685 overall and No. 77 at his position according to 247Sports composite, while On3 industry rankings have him at Nos. 595 and 17, respectively. Prior to his commitment, Hall had 23 total offers, including eight SEC programs, among them Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss.
