The Georgia Bulldogs played their biggest game of the season so far on Saturday afternoon when the Oklahoma Sooners came to town for the first SEC home game of the season.

Big stakes on the field apparently brought some big names in the crowd as well, and while fans were solely focused on the game, the coaching staff hosted the biggest recruiting weekend in the country. From flip targets still in the 2027 class to huge names in the 2028 class, it seemed like everyone was in Athens this weekend.

The group of visitors was highlighted by three five-star prospects in the class of 2028 who are some of the very best players in the nation, all of whom the Dawgs feel like they have a great chance of landing according to some intel from Rivals. 

Kellan Hall, Asher Ghioto, Prince Che Highlight Georgia Visitor List

All three of Kellan Hall, Asher Ghioto and Prince Che are top-10 overall in the country and all are potential future stars along the defensive line. The Bulldogs develop defensive line talent as much as anyone in the entire country, so it makes sense why these elite high school players want to come to Athens.

Hall is the No. 2 overall player in the nation out of the Louisville area and stands at 6-foot-5 weighing 275 pounds, playing both sides of the line in high school. Ghioto is a dynamic edge rusher out of Jacksonville rated No. 6 in the country and No. 3 overall in the state of Florida, a potential future terror to SEC quarterbacks.

Che meanwhile is also a huge more interior defensive lineman and an in-state guy out of Thomasville rated as the No. 10 overall player in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing more than 300 pounds, defensive line coach Tray Scott is certainly licking his chops at the prospect of coaching a talent like that.

The biggest games always bring out all the stars, and this was the case in Athens this weekend as the Sooners came to town. Fans will eagerly await updates on how the visits actually went and as the recruiting season for 2028 really starts to heat up over the next six months, the Dawgs are starting to make moves.

After a 2027 class which was not quite as successful as fans may be used to, 2028 is shaping up to be a massive bounce back, and this weekend may have been just the start.
