Kentucky Wildcats have been a top 10 most-watched football program

The Kentucky Wildcats have arguably one of the most impressive wins of the season, on the road against then-top-10 Texas A&M Aggies. That was a game that drew many eyes, and their game prior to that, against the Alabama Crimson Tide, was also among the most-viewed battles of the week.

The Wildcats opened their season at home with a 45-13 win over the Youngstown State Penguins. They followed that up with their first loss of the season, at home against the Crimson Tide. Going into the half up 17-13, the Cats looked like they had the potential to pull off the upset, especially having two interceptions on Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell. They ended up being outscored 32-0 in the second half.

While that last 30 minutes didn't play out well for Stein, the Cats did rebound in a huge way this past Saturday. They beat the Aggies 31-21, outscoring them 21-0 in the third quarter. That was must-see football, and the public agrees.

"Through Week 3, Kentucky has played in two of the most-watched games of the 2026 college football season, according to Nielsen TV ratings data. As a result, the Wildcats are one of the most-watched teams in the country.

There's no surprise that Texas and Ohio State came in as the top-two teams in the country. The one team that you don't see is the Oregon Ducks, and that's somewhat a surprise and could change as Big Ten competition heats up as well.

Nonetheless, the Cats will have a few more major games in the next few months to keep all eyes on Stein and company.
