Wisconsin Badgers football legend JJ Watt met up with a future member of UW’s defensive unit on Saturday, June 27.

Isaac Miller, a class of 2027 edge who committed to Luke Fickell’s program in early March, was pictured with the former Badger icon in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Watt grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, which is roughly five miles north of Waukesha.

247Sports considers Miller the No. 765 overall recruit, No. 64 edge, and No. 7 player from his home state for the class of 2027. Despite being over three months removed from his commitment, SC NEXT recently bumped the 6-foot-5 defensive weapon’s ranking.

With 23 commitments, Wisconsin’s current class of 2027 ranks No. 23 in the nation. Miller is one of three edges, with three-star Brody Pfannenstiel and Darin Graham as the other pair of players to offer their pledges to Wisconsin at the position.

During his tenure in Madison, Watt racked up over 100 tackles, 36.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles on the defensive line. If Miller can mirror any portion of Watt’s game-wrecking ability, his commitment is beyond a win for Fickell and company.
