No. 15 Penn State (2-0) closes out non-conference play on Saturday afternoon against Buffalo (1-1) and will look to remain undefeated as they head into Big Ten play. Matt Campbell's program has looked solid on defense and has an offense that is hoping to see more consistent success on the ground in the third game of the season.
Penn State is coming off a 27-9 victory at Temple in Week 2. After a sluggish start to the game on offense, with three first-quarter possessions ending in Temple territory with no points to show for it, Rocco Becht and the offense got into a rhythm and started finishing drives with points on the scoreboard. Linebacker Tony Rojas was a standout player with a key interception in the first quarter. Buffalo comes into today's game with a 1-1 record following a loss to FIU last week. Penn State is 33-3 all-time against members of the MAC and is 3-1 all-time against Buffalo (the lone loss coming in the first meeting in 1900).
