The New Orleans Saints will be playing their preseason finale soon, and with it being the last game, the Saints need to figure out many of their position battles. Game one revealed some favorites, but game 2 really destroyed momentum for everyone. Also, with starters likely not playing once again, it's an excellent opportunity for the Saints to figure out some of these battles, and here are a few that stand out. 

Kicker 

After an underwhelming showing from the current kickers on the roster, the Saints signed Daniel Carlson to a 1 year deal. Right away, Carlson became the favorite for the job, but he still must go out there and prove it. All three of these kickers will be given a chance to kick. 

If they all end up struggling, good luck to the Saints.

Running Back

After Devin Neal went down with an injury and Alvin Kamara was already out, the Saints made a trade for Zamir White. So far in his short time with the team, White has done well, and this preseason game will be the first time he plays a game for New Orleans. If he can have a good performance, White could get the final spot in the Saints' RB group during roster cuts. This year is likely going to be 4 RBs again, and with Neal and Kamara out, that leaves Travis Etienne, Kendre Miller, Audric Estime, and that last spot. White definitely does not have a guarantee there, but he is the favorite now. 

Since Ty Chandler is also out for the season, White's only competition will be CJ Donaldson. The UDFA has had some impressive plays this preseason, but consistency has not been there compared to other players on the roster. He should still have an oppurtunity to prove that wrong tonight. 

Quarterback

Last, but not least, we have the QBs. It has not been a great preseason for Zach Wilson and Spencer Rattler, but Wilson has done better so far. Game 1 was when Wilson was able to change the narrative of this QB competition and become potentially the favorite moving forward. Rattler's performance was truly worrying against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Then, in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Rams, neither QB played well. So, Game 3 is going to be the game that decides this battle once and for all, which will likely lead to one of these QBs being off the team. 

If both disappoint once again, the Saints may be looking for a new backup as well.
