As the 2026 college football season approaches, talking season is starting to pick up, and the most anticipated preseason tradition is set to make its debut in a brand-new location.
The Southeastern Conference has officially announced the full appearance schedule of coaches for its 2026 SEC Football Kickoff Media Days, and Tampa is rolling out the welcome mat. The four-day event runs from July 20-23 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott, and it is the first time in the event's history that Florida has hosted the SEC's annual summer showcase.
Previous host locations include Nashville, Dallas, and Atlanta. Before the locations rotated, it was the Hyatt Regency Birmingham-Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover that held the event for two full decades, from 2001 to 2021.
