‘This Is So Weird,’ ‘Not a Great Look’ — CFB Fans Rip Lane Kiffin for Reportedly Traveling Separately From Team for LSU-Ole Miss Showdown

Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford to face the Ole Miss Rebels with the LSU Tigers is Week 3’s biggest storyline. Kiffin became college football’s biggest villain last year when he left Ole Miss for LSU just before the Rebels embarked on their maiden College Football Playoff journey.
As all eyes were on Kiffin’s trip to Oxford, one facet of the journey drew attention from fans after a reporter noticed that the LSU head coach had flown separate to the team.
Fans React to Lane Kiffin’s Strange Traveling Arrangement
One fan could not countenance any of college football’s greatest coaches traveling separately from their team before an important game.
“A picture is worth 1,000 words. There is something seriously wrong with Kiffin, and LSU lets him do whatever he wants to do. I cannot come up with any scenario where Kirby, Nick, or any other well-respected coach would not travel & support their team on the charter,” the fan remarked.
Another fan was stunned by the optics of the move.
“Not a great look, we sure this is true?” the fan questioned. One fan predicted the Tigers would not put up with Kiffin’s shenanigans for long.

“I have a feeling the Tigers aren’t going to be as patient with this stuff as OM was,” the fan posted.
Another fan criticized Kiffin’s track record of putting himself first. “Welcome to the Lane experience. Never cares about players,” the fan complained.

One fan tried his best to explain why Kiffin flew separately from the team.
“Because he’s going to be on Gameday and SEC Nation in the morning in Oxford while the team is eating breakfast in Memphis,” the fan concluded.
Another fan commented on the unusual travel arrangement.
“This is so weird,” the fan wrote.
According to Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter, the Rebels have made extra security arrangements to deal with the hostile environment in Oxford this weekend. Kiffin’s Tigers and coach Pete Golding’s Rebels both have a perfect record (2-0) this season, but only one team will walk away from this Week 3 battle with a spotless record.
