Week 2 of the 2026 college football season is in the books, and it was crazy.
No. 6 Oregon was upset by Oklahoma State in Stillwater, 39-31, and is now 1-1. The Cowboys bullied Dan Lanning’s program for all four quarters and earned that win. The Ducks fell five spots in the FPI, from No. 8 to No. 13 after the defeat.
No. 1 Ohio State had a 23-3 lead over Texas going into the fourth quarter on Saturday night and choked it away. Arch Manning led the fourth-ranked Longhorns on three straight touchdown drives to win, 24-23.

Despite the win, Texas is not in the top spot in ESPN’s FPI rankings. Ohio State is in the No. 1 spot, followed by the Longhorns, Notre Dame, Georgia and Miami. Texas held the top spot after Week 1, followed by Ohio State.
