Since his arrival, Jedd Fisch has made no secret that he wants the Washington Huskies to have some of the best facilities in the Big Ten.
During spring practice, the Huskies invited YouTuber Adam Botkin to campus to tour the facilities and take part in a workout, in which the former Montana Grizzlies kicker got a chance to document a behind-the-scenes look at all the upgrades Fisch has made around campus since his arrival.
Sophomore offensive lineman John Mills acted as the tour guide and took Botkin and his nearly 800,000 subscribers on YouTube through the weight room, nutrition center, players' lounge, and every other part of the UW facility.
As the college football arms race continues off the field, Mills described how well-suited Washington has become to compete in it. One of the biggest upgrades Fisch has made since his arrival, partially thanks to a $1 million donation he and his wife, Amber, made to the Go Big! fund in 2024, was in the weight room, where new racks and equipment are equipped with tracking technology to give head strength coach Tyler Owens and his staff plenty of data to optimize workouts.
Combined with red light therapy beds, Normatec compression boots, and water beds in the recovery room, Washington's strength and conditioning program has seen a major, necessary upgrade that the Huskies need to compete in the Big Ten. In the Don James Center, where players eat the majority of their meals, Mills also described an app for players' phones that helps them choose the optimal food for their caloric goals.
With official visits underway, which gives high school prospects and their families a complete look at what UW has to offer, Botkin's video gave fans a good look at what players and recruits get to experience during their time on Montlake.
