The ESPN show College GameDay is broadcasting on Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi, ahead of the Ole Miss-LSU game. An ESPN montage showed all the signs that are being showcased by fans. Most of them are against LSU head coach Lane Kiffin, who famously left Ole Miss last season for LSU.
A sign in the sky though was very different. It said “Daddy’s Back! Geaux Tigers,” which was a sign of support for Kiffin.

ESPN commentator Pat McAfee made light of that sign. He even had a hunch on who was behind it.
“I would assume that (Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry) paid for that plane,” McAfee posted to X, formerly Twitter.
Ole Miss and LSU enter Saturday’s game with major expectations. Both programs are undefeated and looking for berths this season in the College Football Playoff. Before he left Ole Miss in 2025, Kiffin had the Rebels essentially locked into a berth in last year’s CFP.
Pete Golding, who was Kiffin’s defensive coordinator at Ole Miss, then became the head coach. He led the Rebels to the CFP, where they ended up losing to Miami (FL).
Tensions are high entering Saturday’s matchup, especially from Ole Miss fans who are angry with Kiffin for leaving.
“F— Lane Kiffin, bro. And, f— LSU,” one Ole Miss fan said to Fox News.
LSU has wins this season over Clemson and Louisiana Tech. Saturday’s game is the start of a very tough stretch for the Tigers. LSU next plays a ranked Texas A&M team, after going on the road Saturday to play the Rebels. The Tigers must also play Alabama and Texas later this year.
Ole Miss and LSU play Saturday night at 7:30 ET.
