2026 Tennessee football: Updated record projection after Week 5

Tennessee (3-1, 0-1 SEC) will play its first Southeastern Conference road game on Saturday during the 2026 football season. Arkansas (2-3, 0-2 SEC) will host the Vols at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Kickoff between the Vols and Razorbacks is slated for 4:15 p.m. EDT (SEC Network).

Tennessee's home schedule in 2026 consists of games against Furman (W, 56-9), Kennesaw State (W, 42-9), Texas (L, 20-17), Auburn (W, 24-14), Alabama, Kentucky and LSU, while playing at Georgia Tech (W, 45-24), Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

Tennessee football's strength of schedule, record projection after Week 5

Following Week 5, Tennessee is up one spot to No. 10 overall in ESPN's FPI rankings. The Vols are projected to finish their regular season with an 8.4-3.7 record after a 7.3-4.7 preseason record projection.

Tennessee also has a 98.5% chance to win at least six games, 1.8% chance to win the SEC, 27.1% chance to make the College Football Playoff and a 0.8% chance to win a national title after Week 5.
